Amanda L. Moyer

Amanda is an associate attorney with Cook Brown, LLP. Her practice is focused on employment litigation and wage and hour defense as well as advising on various employment matters. Amanda is also licensed to practice in the State of Nevada.

During law school Amanda focused her studies on litigation and advocacy. She interned at the Federal Public Defender’s Office and gained valuable experience negotiating on behalf of clients and defending them in the courtroom. Throughout law school Amanda worked at local firms specializing in personal injury and criminal defense. She also worked as a Teaching Assistant for advanced legal writing and research.

Amanda is especially passionate about representing business owners. While growing up she had the opportunity to see first-hand how much energy and hard work it takes to grow and protect a business as both of her parents are independent business owners.

Amanda attended California State University Chico where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in English Studies along with a Paralegal Certificate. She then attended University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law and received her Juris Doctorate with a concentration in Trial and Appellate Advocacy.

Community

Amanda volunteers for the GDS High School Mock Trial Competition. She also enjoys singing and performing as a member of the Sacramento Choral Society and Orchestra. In her spare time, she enjoys visiting family in Mendocino and spending time with her dogs Reggie and Finley.
