GENERAL PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND

Brent J. Seifert is an associate in the Sacramento office. His practice includes defending companies and management in wrongful termination, unfair labor practices, and disability discrimination and harassment lawsuits. Mr. Seifert also provides advice to clients on a variety of matters including, but not limited to, hiring and firing, investigations, employee handbooks, employment policies and employment contracts.

Mr. Seifert is a graduate of Indiana Institute of Technology and received his law degree from John F. Kennedy University School of Law. Prior to joining the firm, he worked as a human resources professional within the healthcare industry, ensuring hospital facilities were compliant with state and federal regulations.

Mr. Seifert also managed employee disciplinary matters including investigations, counseling and dispute resolution, management seminars on sexual harassment, managing personnel files, and conflict resolution.

Mr. Seifert is a member of the California State Bar Association and the Society of Human Resource Management. He is licensed to practice law before all California state courts as well as the federal court for the Eastern District of California. He is a member of the California and Sacramento County Bar Associations and is certified as a professional in human resources.
