GENERAL PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND Before joining the firm, Ms. Ryan worked for the California State Legislature as the policy consultant on labor and employment issues for the Senate Republicans, as well as serving as communications director for State Senator Jim Brulte. Prior to her years in the Legislature, she was appointed by Governor Pete Wilson to serve in the Trade and Commerce Agency as a speechwriter and press secretary. Ms. Ryan received her Juris Doctor degree, with a certificate in Governmental Affairs, from the University of Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While at McGeorge, she wrote two articles for the California Initiative Review and received honors in trial advocacy. She received her B.A. degree in International Relations from the University of California, Davis. Ms. Ryan is admitted to practice before all California state courts, as well as the federal courts for the Eastern and Central Districts of California. She is a member of the California and Sacramento County Bar Associations, the Labor and Employment Law Section of the Sacramento County Bar Association, the Employee Relations Committee of the California Chamber of Commerce and the Anthony M. Kennedy American Inn of Court. |
